I WAS HONORED BY THE CITY OF PEEKSKILL AS AN ITALIAN AMERICAN WHO HAS SIGNIFICANTLY CONTRIBUTED TO THE OUR COMMUNITY. The nominating narrative has greatly touched me. THANK YOU SO SO MUCH!!!
"It is with great joy and admiration that I recommend Rev. George Coniglio for the Italian American Award. Reverend Coniglio is not only a devoted leader in the community, but also a trusted friend whose character speaks louder than words.
He has an extraordinary gift for guiding people—whether it’s addressing personal struggles, easing conflicts, or bringing groups together with unity and purpose. such as a Men's Cancer Support Group, Caregiver's Support Group, plus serving as President of the Hudson Valley Friends of Mental Health, Chairperson of the Phelps Patient Experience Committee and member of the Human Relations Commission. Rev. Coniglio's wisdom, patience, and compassion shine through in every interaction, and he has a remarkable way of making each person feel truly heard and valued.
Beyond his leadership, Reverend Coniglio dedicates himself tirelessly to service. He gives his time generously to nursing homes, hospitals, psychiatric units, and outpatient clinics, always showing up where he is needed most. His commitment is never passive; it is active, hands-on, and deeply felt by the people whose lives he touches.
What sets him apart is the love and sincerity behind it along with his care for friends, his community, and for those most in need is unwavering. He has created a lasting impact on countless lives, including my own. Rev Coniglio's presence is a blessing to all who know him. I can think of no one more deserving of this recognition than Rev. Coniglio....is dedication, generosity, and leadership embody the very best of Italian American values, and it is an honor to speak on his behalf."

Jannette
